About

Three decades of the web, one steady hand.

I've been designing for the web since 1994, long enough to remember the first browsers, and to have shipped work through every era since. My practice sits at the crossroads of visual design, front-end craft and marketing sense.

I've been a Macromedia evangelist, taught hundreds of classroom hours (including some at the universities of Rome and Bologna), ran a design department in Rome and a marketing operation on the Kenyan coast. Along the way I've built portals for pharma, intranets for defence, e-commerce for logistics, and websites for singers, photographers, hoteliers and public agencies.

What I bring to a project is the calm of experience: a clear opinion on what matters, and the discipline to build something that will still work, and still look right, years from now.
